The Songwriters Workshop Intensive
The Songwriter's Workshop Intensive - Instructor: Billy Seidman
This course teaches songwriters a new vocabulary of how to listen to songs.
It turns out good songs are built on basic core emotions. We teach writers to identify the emotion they want to express but also how to write a song so the audience instantly feels it too!
Many songwriters take for granted the audience instantly knows and feels this same emotion, but too often that connection is not made. That’s why so many promising songs don’t become as well written as they could be. We’ll help you to see and make this distiction early in your writing process.
Each week, you’ll learn a new set of “Advanced Song Craft Skills” and be given a weekly prompt to write an original song using that week's skill set.
The 5-week program meets 2 hours a week and condenses the essential components of coursework instructor Billy Seidman; Author of The Elements of Song Craft, teaches at BerkleeNYC, as an Associate Profession of Songwriting for their acclaimed graduate Songwriting & Production Master’s Degree program. The cost is $500.00 The materials are presented online in a compelling, easy to understand, & supportive environment.
